Cheerio! It is our 5th day in London. We started off the day with Alyssa leading us to Pentagram.
We traveled from the hostel all the way to Notting Hill, which was about 6 miles away.
On our way there, #StroseGDCat wanted to stop to look at a vintage surgery sign because he's so fascinated with design.
We arrived at the gate and couldn't be happier.
All of us were in awe as we sat down by the office around us.
We couldn't believe how beautiful a conference room could be.
We had a wonderful presentation given by Domenic Lippa.
We got to tour the office and we fell in love with the character that Pentagram's office has.
On the way out, Alyssa noticed that there were no paper towels in the bathroom, but in fact a hand towel that looped around, so as you pull it, it is dry once again. What a great way to stay green!
We left with grins on our faces and grabbed lunch at Pret A Manger.
Next stop: The Design Museum!
The space was laid out in a such a dynamic way.
We saw Eames chairs!
An amazing collection of items reflecting the tube!
Some awesome design posters!
As per usual, Alyssa had to stop to see the bathroom but was pleasantly surprised at what she found.
Soap, water and the dryer was hidden under a mirror in the stall. So, not only could we make sure we were looking fly, we could also feel like we were in the future.
On our way back to the main floor, we noticed that the elevators numbers actually went into the negatives. This is a common pattern across London.
We then headed to Mullen Lowe Profero, where Rachel Wells and two of her junior designers, Bradley and Ben, gave us a charming presentation.
We went across the street to a beautiful graveyard.
On our way back, we noticed this Kiosk that was beautifully designed. The doors looked like a nutritional facts label from here in the US. Since the color palette was so inviting, Alyssa certainly wanted to stop to get something to eat.
Instead, MaryGrace and Alyssa went to Honest Burger: which was honestly delicious.
We could't help but notice how wonderfully designed the menus were.
It was an exciting, jam-packed day. We cannot wait to see what tomorrow brings! Cheers!
